Want to get out of your comfort zone? To live a new experience or to rediscover winter camping? Your passionate adventurer guide from the Locapaq company will introduce you to the basics of winter camping and share the best tips for fully enjoying this outdoor moment.

When? Saturday, March 16th, 4 p.m., until Sunday, March 17th, 10 a.m.

Possibility of arriving on the site from 9 a.m. on Saturday morning and staying until 5 p.m. on Sunday evening, to enjoy hiking, skiing and/or snowshoeing trails on the Forêt Ô Cascades trails.

What is included?

  • All the equipment necessary to enjoy the camping in complete comfort: tents, sleeping bags, floor mattresses, bowls and utensils, mouflons and down jackets

What to bring?

  • Clothing adapted to the seasonal temperature 
  • Drinks and snacks if desired

Programmation

  • Setting up winter tents: learning techniques for setting up tents adapted to winter conditions.
  • Campfire: learning techniques for lighting a campfire in winter, emphasizing safety and managing the cold.
  • Outdoor cooking: Cook meals using equipment suitable for winter conditions, such as portable stoves.

Number of participants: 8

Minimum age: 12 years old. Participants aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellation policy

  • No refund if cancelled by the participant within 30 days of the workshop.
  • If the event is canceled by the organizers for an extraordinary reason, participants will be contacted and informed of the possibilities available to them (full refund, credit on a new registration, etc.).

Weather report

  • Barring exceptional conditions (extreme cold, blizzard, etc.) activities will take place as planned.
  • If the weather does not allow an activity to take place, it will be postponed to a later date.
