Questions
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed on the campsites and hiking trails, but they must be kept on a leash at all times. The leash must be 6 feet or shorter. If your dog weighs 20 kg (44 lbs) or more, a head collar or harness is also required.
- In the pods: Pets are not allowed.
- In the ready-to-camp tents of Hôtel UNIQ: Dogs are allowed in certain tents with an additional fee of $50 per stay.
Did you forget to bring bags to pick up your dog’s waste? We will be happy to provide some at the welcome center.
Can I book a campsite?
Yes, you can book through our online ticketing system: https://app.endorphine.ca/c/foretocascades
If you need assistance, please contact us by phone at: 450-944-0165.
Can I camp at Forêt Ô Cascades in a minivan, trailer, or other motorized vehicle?
Yes, motorized vehicles 25 feet or less are welcome. We also accommodate trailers and pop-up campers up to 12 feet. However, no exceptions can be made for larger vehicles. Our campsites are nestled deep in the forest, and due to the narrow paths and the nature of the terrain, it is not possible to navigate larger vehicles or equipment.
Is it possible to stay for just one night?
Yes, in the low season at all times. During the high season, sites will only be assigned for one-night stays if there are last-minute availabilities. Please call us to check availability.
What time can I arrive?
Your campsite will be available from 2:00 PM on the day of your arrival. However, you can access the park as early as 9:00 AM. If you arrive early and your site is ready, we’ll be happy to proceed with your check-in so you can fully enjoy your day without waiting.
Do we have access to the river?
Yes, the river is accessible via several trails. However, swimming is unsupervised, and you swim at your own risk.
Is it allowed to make a fire?
Yes, but under certain conditions. Campfires and cooking fires are only allowed at designated fire pits and must be extinguished before bedtime. At all times, fires must be supervised by a responsible person. During very dry periods, fires may be prohibited based on recommendations from SOPFEU (Société de protection des forêts contre le feu).
Can I bring my own firewood?
We kindly ask that you do not bring your own firewood. Transporting firewood from one area to another is a significant vector for spreading tree diseases and pests, such as the emerald ash borer and the Asian longhorned beetle, which can severely harm our forests. sepaq.com
To protect our local ecosystem, we offer quality firewood sourced from forest maintenance activities on-site. This practice minimizes transportation and supports a more eco-friendly approach. Additionally, our kindling is made from local sawmill offcuts, promoting a circular economy.
Pricing:
- $5 – Kindling
- $15 – Firewood
For a smoother arrival experience, we recommend adding your firewood to your reservation during the booking process. This ensures it’s ready and waiting at your site upon arrival, allowing you to settle in and start enjoying your stay immediately.
Do you accept seasonal campers?
No. Our sites are 100% reserved for traveling campers.
Is it possible to get a refund?
No refunds will be granted for circumstances outside of Forêt Ô Cascades, such as weather conditions, late arrivals, or early departures.
Refunds and/or modifications for camping stays are possible more than 8 days before your arrival. However, within 7 days or less of your arrival date, no modifications or refunds will be allowed.
We therefore encourage you to plan your stay carefully and review the terms before finalizing your reservation.
Do you have riverfront camping sites?
We have a few sites with a view of the river. However, all the sites are located at the top of a slope, so you’ll need to walk to get your feet in the water! All sites are within a 5-minute walk or less from the river.
Is it possible to access my camping site by car?
Only the sites in sector C are accessible by car. The other sites have designated parking along the forest road, a few meters from the site (between 20 and 200 meters). We provide campers with carts or sleds to help transport their luggage.
Is it possible to practice nautic sports in the river?
At various times throughout the summer, the water level can be very low (about 1 foot). Because of this, we do not recommend activities like paddleboarding and kayaking, as the conditions can make these activities difficult and dangerous.
However, it is perfectly possible to enjoy floating down the river on a tube or a paddleboard-style mattress (without a fin).
For a more complete water experience, we recommend visiting the Ô Cascades park in Rawdon, just 1 minute by car, which offers access to Lac Pontbriand, or the municipal beach, located 10 minutes by car.
Please note that any type of motorized vehicle is prohibited on the river to preserve the tranquility and the natural environment.
