Ouareau river

The Ouareau River borders Forêt Ô Cascades along 2.5 km of shoreline.

Several designated access points make it easy to reach the river from the red and pink trails.

With its rocky riverbed, caution is advised—we recommend wearing water shoes to fully enjoy the experience safely and comfortably.

A charming little sandy beach awaits you just a 500-meter walk from the welcome area and pavilion, perfect for a refreshing swim or a picnic by the water.

River conditions

The river’s water level and flow can vary significantly depending on weather conditions.

At various points and times throughout the summer, the water level can be very low (2 feet), making paddleboarding not recommended.

THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY AT THE BEACH, SHORES, OR RIVER. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AT ALL TIMES!

Life jackets are available for rent at the gate.
